Rehabilitation of Nahr El Bared Irrigation Canal - A campaign for the water establishment in the north of Lebanon, completed with the help of the German NGO: GIZ.
The primary intention behind this project is to encourage water preservation so that every village in the country, can have a sufficient and adequate water supply. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit some of these faraway villages while this project was underway, to take a closer look at the different components that lead up to the main story; It was an enlightening and unforgettable experience.
Working with NGOs in itself is very rewarding.
COMMUNAL & DATA-DRIVEN:
As this was an initiative aimed at bettering the living conditions of regional communities in Lebanon, it only felt right to involve its people not only in the work itself through a widespread volunteering campaign, but more importantly the initial and earlier stages of the decision-making process.
In addition to the main book, bookmarks, graphic backgrounds, and scanned QR codes, each corresponding to a specific district in Lebanon, were tracked on print, web, and mobile platforms including the ‘App Store’ and ‘Google Play’ - The highest-ranking votes quantifiably dictated the trajectory of relief efforts; All communities got served, but this was audience polling at its finest and most effective.
